What's new
What is new in OPSAVOR, in plain English — one note for each platform release, newest first. Every note leads with what you can now do.
v0.28.0 · 28 October 2026
Two-page invoices now stay together, and a photo of several invoices waits for you instead of being booked as one. When you photograph a document, OPSAVOR asks for the next page and keeps the pages as one invoice. Add & Review is easier to use on a phone, with secondary actions folded away. Payroll-like documents are held for a person rather than sent to a model, and a document whose figures cannot be dated says so plainly instead of showing a dash.
Records now carry a conversation. Open a record and add a threaded comment, with a mention that reaches the right person's Inbox. Comments follow the same location and people access as the record, so a person only sees the discussion they are allowed to see.
Your account, your team and sensitive documents are more protected. Sign-in & security now shows the ways you sign in, the apps connected to your account and the sessions where you are signed in; you can remove a method, disconnect an app or sign out another device. Full bank, card and tax numbers need the new sensitive:view permission, payroll and other documents that name people need people:view, and account sessions, passkey re-checks and public links no longer depend on the browser's host name. Dialogs, the skip link and status messages are keyboard- and screen-reader-friendly.
Statements, review and plans now keep the whole business in step. Bank statement lines are matched to bills, payouts, payroll and deposits, with unmatched lines listed and a bank tie-out that says what is still open. Add & Review can sort and filter by the date printed on a document rather than the day it was uploaded, and a reviewer can mark a document Not an invoice next to Confirm and Skip. Contracts put their due dates and any missed months beside the bills. Plans and limits show what a business may use, the primary owner can step down even when every seat is taken, and each person can set their own notification allowance while the team sees its daily volume.
The books and the plugin platform are ready for more of your business. The Books plugin now supplies the posting plan for invoices, sales days and payroll, while the platform checks and posts it. The Cash-basis report has moved into its own plugin. A Review policy plugin can hold invoices at an amount you choose, and Vendor watch flags a changed remit-to or an unusually large bill. Plugins can add hooks, metrics and day lanes, and the platform records each app run's CPU and usage. The ledger is mirrored into the fact plane, every row keeps its source, deletions are soft, migrations are rehearsed before production, and a plane rebuild can be copied, migrated, verified and swapped safely. AI retrieval, model-call records and masking of card, bank and tax identifiers make Savy's answers easier to trace and safer to produce.
v0.27.0 · 27 October 2026
A plugin can now bring its own code, with screens and memory of its own — and you can see and stop what it runs. Most plugins are still a readable list of instructions. An app goes further: it can draw its own screen, keep its own working notes, and handle a button or form as the person who pressed it. Its card says that custom code runs, how large it is and whether it differs from the version you approved. Every run is limited, logged and counted against a daily budget; the owner can stop it, and uninstalling the plugin removes what it kept. A plugin can also offer an agent for Savy that stays off until someone turns it on.
What needs you comes first. Daily Pulse is the first item in the menu, and Records and Settings gather the screens that used to make the menu long. The Inbox leads with what is waiting for you. The sign-in page now carries your business's name, logo and accent, so it is easier to tell your page from a look-alike.
Email notices and the books are safer to leave running. By default a plugin's email still waits for you; an owner can now let notices to owners, or a limited number a day, go without asking. A notice that reached only some of its people says who it missed, and it still counts against the day's limit. Purchase categories and ledger accounts are managed in Settings, import confirmations show what was checked, supplier bills and credits can be checked end to end, payments only match in a known common currency, and disconnected bank credentials are retired on a fixed deadline. Zero-balance accounts can be deactivated without leaving reversals unsafe.
v0.26.0 · 25 October 2026
Plugins can ask your business for the values they need — and Savy can manage them for you. A plugin that calls another system now has a Values section on its card: a workspace name or API token, with a clear Needs setup when something required is missing. Plain values are configuration you can read and change. Secrets are write-only: once saved, nobody can read them back, including OPSAVOR and Savy. Savy can list, set and clear values for an owner, but it can never reveal a secret.
OPSAVOR also now seals the secrets it already kept — the model provider key, the mail password and each plugin’s webhook signing secret — with the instance’s own secret. A stolen database or backup no longer exposes them in plain text, and a copy restored onto another instance says clearly that the secret belongs elsewhere.
v0.25.0 · 25 October 2026
Add plugins from an App Store, and find related apps together. Owners now have an App Store under Manage. It shows the plugins OPSAVOR publishes for your business and groups related ones into suites: People & Staff, Operations & Commercial, Connected Workspace and Financial Intelligence. Install an app or a suite, then approve what it asks for on Plugins; nothing turns on by itself. Each app says whether it is on, waiting for approval, off or no longer available, and when a newer version is available.
More integrations are available from the store, including Gitea, Outline, Plane, Twenty, Mattermost and Google Workspace. Staff can see the directory as an organisation tree, each person has their own workspace, and profile details are shown only to people allowed to see people. Inbound email can be paged through message by message.
This release also tightens plugin safety: personal details stay hidden when a plugin transforms them, a plugin that is off, replaced or failed stops serving old results, approvals are tied to the right location, and an update that asks for more waits for you. A store install that cannot complete is undone instead of leaving a half-installed suite.
v0.24.1 · 23 October 2026
Stronger account and team protections, cleaner books, and safer plugins. OPSAVOR now limits changes to an owner account to an owner, keeps a manager's team changes within their own location, and stops an API key from changing a password, passkey or two-factor setting. Repeated second-factor attempts are slowed down. Webhooks cannot reach private or local network addresses, and plugin expressions, spreadsheet reads and graph queries are bounded so one bad input cannot exhaust an instance.
On the books, gift-card sales and discounts now tie out in the sales review, invoice line details survive an edit, dismissed uploads no longer affect day reconciliation, and the general-ledger CSV includes the source upload for each line. Test copies disable automatic flows and cancel actions that were still retrying.
v0.24.0 · 23 October 2026
Change your email, work in cash-basis or draft journals, and trust the audit trail. A person can now change the email they sign in with, and an owner can correct a typo. The Ledger gains a cash-basis view and manual journal drafts that wait for posting. The audit history is now tamper-evident: each entry is chained to the one before, so an edit or removal is detectable. Social sign-in tickets are also bound to the browser that started the sign-in, which closes a way to replay a ticket.
v0.23.0 · 22 October 2026
Require a second factor for admins, keep recovery codes in reach, and trust the books more. Manage → Sign-in & security now shows how many recovery codes you have left and lets you generate a fresh set after entering a current code; the old ones stop working at once. An owner can require two-factor for owners and admins, and Team shows who still needs to set it up. A passkey counts as a second factor, so it satisfies the policy too.
The books gained a month-end checklist. Before closing a month, OPSAVOR says what is still waiting — draft invoices, unbooked sales days or payroll — and an owner can reopen a closed month with a reason. A nightly cross-check compares the figures that can be reached two ways, including sales, payroll, invoices and bank balances, and Start says when the books need attention. The Ledger also shows a balance sheet, and each bank account says whether its balance agrees with the transactions imported since the last balance.
Plugins can now hand you a view as a PDF report, with where each figure came from; one plugin can read another plugin's figures; and an outbound purchase order or statement waits for a person to send it. Setting up an authenticator app now shows a QR code to scan.
Daily sales reports now book gift cards as a liability and a cost, and read the cash drawer. Settings shows how long each kind of record is kept, as set by OPSAVOR; nothing is deleted yet. We also hardened account and plugin boundaries: an export no longer carries the audit log to someone who cannot read it, one-time links cannot be used twice, and a retried plugin action cannot use a permission it no longer has.
v0.22.0 · 22 October 2026
Sign in with a passkey, and approve a plugin's decision. Add a passkey — your phone's face or fingerprint, or a security key — under Manage → Sign-in & security, and use it to sign in instead of a password or a code. It only works on your business's address, so a look-alike sign-in page cannot use it. An owner can require passkeys for the team; anyone without one is asked to add it at their next sign-in.
A plugin row can now ask for a real decision, not just a tick: Approve or Reject, with the role the plugin names, who decided and when, and the effect the plugin describes (such as publishing a schedule or sending a message) happening once. If the row's figures change, it asks again. A rejection can be changed to an approval; an approval is never silently taken back.
v0.21.0 · 21 October 2026
Plugins can propose a record, and you decide. A plugin can work out a count, a waste event or another observation and put it on the Plugins screen with the values, why it proposes them and where they came from. Nothing is recorded until you press Record it; then it waits for review like a file you uploaded. Don't record writes nothing.
v0.20.0 · 21 October 2026
Automations have a screen of their own, and they run more dependably. Open Flows under Plugins to see every automation a plugin has, set it up, press Run now, and read each run step by step. A flow that hits a temporary problem now tries again instead of giving up, a long run stops at a time limit instead of hanging, and flows that must not overlap wait their turn in their own lane.
v0.19.0 · 21 October 2026
Plugins can ask you for a number, draw a calendar, timeline or board, and hand you a table as a spreadsheet. A plugin can now put a small form on its page for something only you know — a count, a reading — and keep the answer with the evidence, like a document you confirm. It can show dated things on a calendar, work along a timeline, group cards into columns, and offer Download CSV on a table. Bills you have paid are now recognised, so a paid bill no longer shows up as overdue. Some plugin results are only true for a moment, and their notices now expire when the figure does.
For staff and developers: you can sign in to the plugin development tools with your OPSAVOR account, including social sign-in, instead of pasting an API key; a plugin can state which platform release it needs, so older instances are not offered a version they cannot run; a test copy of a business can now be made from another copy's backup with personal details scrubbed, and plugins built on it survive a refresh.
v0.18.0 · 21 October 2026
A notice about a figure that is only true for a moment now disappears when it stops being true. A plugin that reads live from your records — a running count, an estimate — can post a notice that expires with its record, so the Inbox does not keep telling you something that has moved on.
v0.17.0 · 21 October 2026
Plugins can read one figure from a report without the other figures crowding it out. A plugin that needs a single number, such as sales in one category, now reads just that figure. It matters most on a busy report where many figures share a date.
v0.16.0 · 21 October 2026
Plugin packs, and fewer double-counted figures. When OPSAVOR offers a set of plugins that belong together, they now appear on Plugins as a pack and you approve them in one step. Under the hood, a fact is kept once, so a bill or a figure is no longer counted twice; a hand-entered observation keeps the date it was recorded rather than the date it was read; and report readings taken before an earlier change keep their figures.
v0.15.1 · 20 October 2026
Plugin runs are easier to read, and plugins can now use exact times and hand-entered observations. A long result in Recent runs or Try it now shows how many records it found and the first few names, instead of a blank or a wall of raw text. Plugins that compare times can now do so exactly, including across midnight and daylight saving.
A plugin can now read a manual observation file: a person uploads it on Add & Review, checks the fields and confirms it like a document, and the plugin sees only the confirmed values, with the original file linked. The plugin decides what the fields mean; the platform does not turn them into stock or money.
v0.15.0 · 19 October 2026
Plugins can now do things for you, and you can build them on a screen of their own. A plugin can run a flow: a few steps on a schedule, when records change, or when you press Run now. For example, "every morning, for any supplier past $50,000 this month, message me and my managers". A flow can message people on your team and send data to another system you use (a web hook). Each message and web hook waits on the Plugins screen for you to press Send, unless you let a flow from the store send by itself, and every run is kept step by step so you can see what it did. See Automations (flows).
Messages arrive in your new Inbox, under Start here, with an unread count in the menu; the notices your plugins post are there too. See Your Inbox.
Owners also have the Plugin maker (Manage → Plugin maker): talk to Savy on one side and watch the plugin take shape on the other, drawn on your own records, then Add and Approve it there. You can try a flow on your records before adding it, with nothing sent, and Change with Savy on a plugin you built opens it in the maker. See Build a plugin with Savy.
v0.14.0 · 19 October 2026
Tick off what you have dealt with. Plugin lists of things to act on, such as a price that went up or a bill that did not come, now have Mark reviewed. A reviewed row folds away with who reviewed it and when, stops coming back in notices and briefs, and returns only if its figures change. Undo brings it straight back. Owners and managers can review. This release also makes three new plugins possible: Missing bills, Supplier price watch and Statement check.
Signing in is harder to attack: repeated wrong passwords for one account now make it wait before trying again.
v0.13.1 · 18 October 2026
Building a plugin with Savy goes more smoothly. If a draft plugin is missing a permission it needs, the preview now says exactly which one to add, instead of quietly showing blanks such as every supplier as "Unknown". Savy also looks things up in fewer steps while it builds, so a draft arrives sooner.
v0.13.0 · 18 October 2026
Ask Savy to build you a plugin. Plugins can now teach Savy new skills, and you pick a skill in the Savy drawer. The first one is the Plugin Builder: you describe what you want to see, Savy drafts a plugin, shows you a preview on your own records, and only when you say yes does it add the plugin. It then waits on the Plugins screen for your approval like any other. Only owners can build. See Build a plugin with Savy.
Happy with a plugin you built? You can now Offer to OPSAVOR. The plugin itself is sent, never your records, and OPSAVOR may make it available to other businesses. See Plugins.
v0.12.0 · 18 October 2026
Plugins, and the Business Intelligence plugin. Plugins are add-ons that work over your own records. They can show cards on Start, have their own page under Plugins in the menu, send you notices, and give Savy more to work with. As the owner you see a Plugins screen that says, in plain words, what each plugin asks to read. Nothing it asks for is allowed until you choose Approve and turn on, and an update that asks for more waits for you again. You can turn a plugin off at any time. See Plugins.
The first plugin is Business Intelligence: money in and out by month, what is coming up (bills due, obligations, birthdays), and a daily Brief written for you, with every figure checked against your records. It is the successor to the Brief and Pulse screens retired in v0.11.0. Which plugins you can add depends on your release; see Availability.
v0.11.0 · 17 October 2026
A simpler OPSAVOR, with the owner-insight screens on their way back as plugins. We removed Pulse, the Brief, insight cards, alerts and the other owner-intelligence screens (Inbox, Overview, Orders, Receiving, Expenses, Recoveries, Statements, Tasks and Profit), and the location targets that only fed them. We know some of you used them, and we are sorry for the gap. Nothing you stored was deleted. Rather than build them into the app, we are bringing them back as plugins you choose and control, and the first arrived in v0.12.0. The menu is now Start here, Records and Manage, and the separate simple-view setting is gone because there is nothing left to hide.
Savy is back as part of the app. Ask a question in the Savy drawer on any screen and it answers from your records, shows its sources, and can only tell you what you are allowed to see. Any figure it gives is checked against the records, and you can mark an answer Helpful or Not helpful. Under the hood, your records now stay up to date as you confirm documents, and Savy and document reading can each use their own model and budget.
v0.10.17 · 16 October 2026
Emailed documents no longer get stuck. A long report arriving by email, such as the by-the-hour sales report, could take too long to read, so the sender was told to retry and the document sat unread. Each attachment is now stored right away and read in the background, and any that were left waiting are picked up again.
v0.10.16 · 14 October 2026
Housekeeping. Demo instances now let anyone who signs in look around as the owner. Nothing changes for a real business.
v0.10.15 · 13 October 2026
Bank feeds through Plaid. Where bank feeds have been switched on for your business, an owner can connect a bank on the new Banks screen and bring in its transactions. It is read-only: OPSAVOR can see transactions but cannot move money. A connection that breaks shows a Reconnect button, and the same account cannot be linked twice.
v0.10.14 · 13 October 2026
Housekeeping. A small maintenance release; nothing you do changes.
v0.10.13 · 13 October 2026
A tidy-up release. A stray file was removed from the source tree, so a fresh checkout builds cleanly. Nothing you do changes.
v0.10.12 · 13 October 2026
A real calendar of everything on file. Calendar & Timeline is now a month grid: each day shows what came in — your net sales, whether sales, hours and payroll are in, and a count for every invoice, delivery, expense, order, vendor statement and recovery that landed that day. A day that reconciles complete is green; a day with gaps is amber. Open any day to see the numbers, the checks, and every record, each linking to the upload it came from.
v0.10.11 · 13 October 2026
Calendar & Timeline is now part of the simple view. If you run the simple Foundation UI, Calendar & Timeline stays — it no longer disappears with the other advanced screens. The top of the page is tidier too: your location now lives in one place (and hides itself when you have a single location), and the "Read-only by design" label is gone.
v0.10.10 · 13 October 2026
On a phone, the menu is now a button. The row of screens across the top of a phone is gone. Tap the menu button in the header and the full menu slides in from the side — every screen, grouped — and a tap anywhere puts it away. On a computer nothing changes.
v0.10.9 · 13 October 2026
Sign in with Facebook, Apple or any social account. Until now only Google matched the email on your social account to your invitation, so a Facebook or Apple sign-in from someone who had not used it before was turned away. Any provider that proves the email now signs you in, as long as it is the address your owner invited.
v0.10.8 · 12 October 2026
Bring back a member you removed. Adding someone again whose account you had removed now works — their history stays with them and they get a fresh invite, instead of the page failing. The automatic reader is sharper too: a document it reads with confidence is booked and stays booked, and small differences such as capital letters, punctuation or the order of lines no longer make two readings look different.
v0.10.7 · 12 October 2026
Add, upload and review on one page — and let the reading run itself. Add & Review now does everything in one place: the separate Bulk load step is gone, so you drop a folder, watch each file upload with a steady progress panel, and check what OPSAVOR read without the page flashing or jumping. A new Settings → Reading and booking card turns upload-and-forget on, so documents that read cleanly are booked for you.
v0.10.6 · 11 October 2026
A lighter, faster database. Under the hood, OPSAVOR retired 27 old tables it no longer uses. Nothing you do day to day changes.
v0.10.5 · 11 October 2026
Drop a folder and load a history in one go. Add & Review now takes a dropped folder (or a Choose folder button), shows a row per file as it uploads, uploads several at once, skips the system clutter like .DS_Store, and accepts files up to 48 MB. A new Bulk load page loads months of past documents as one run and returns a single report: what came in, what was a duplicate, which days are covered, what still needs mapping, and one action to confirm everything that passed.
Also: a Calendar & Timeline and a Canonical Entities screen, a Ledger view that shows the posting a document produced, and taking a report off the books without disturbing the uploads behind it.
v0.10.4 · 11 October 2026
Sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook. The sign-in page now puts the social buttons first, each with its own icon, and tucks the email and password form behind a single link. On Team, deactivate and remove now work where they should — the buttons were wrongly greyed out whenever the row was an owner.
v0.10.3 · 11 October 2026
A clearer sign-in when something is wrong. If a sign-in is turned away, the login page now says why — for example, that no account was found for that email — instead of leaving you on a blank page.
v0.10.2 · 10 October 2026
Read the email, not just the documents inside it. The Inbound email page now opens a message to show what it said — who sent it, the subject and the message text — beside the documents it carried. A document's state links straight to the review panel, and each file opens on its own.
v0.10.1 · 10 October 2026
Sign in with Google. You can sign in with the Google account you already have — no separate password. And if someone signs in who has not been invited yet, they now see a clear "we could not find your account" message instead of a blank page. Also: small fixes to the review list — future dates, name checks, and plainer wording.
v0.10.0 · 10 October 2026
A review panel built to move through a pile quickly. The document sits on one side and what OPSAVOR read on the other; you fix a figure in place, filter the list, or switch to a day view — and on a phone each document is a card. Under the hood: the database runs in WAL mode (quicker, and backups and restores are safe), each location's business day can start at an exact hour and minute, and closing names every sales day that has not been booked yet.
v0.9.0 · 9 October 2026
Tell Savy whether an answer helped. Every answer from Savy now has a helpful / not-helpful button with an optional note, so the assistant gets better. Common reports that are read exactly can be confirmed for you, and anything unusual gets a plain note about what to check.
v0.8.1 · 8 October 2026
Forwarded mail reads correctly. Emails the mail server forwards now arrive as raw messages and are read properly, so an emailed invoice lands in Add & Review like any other.
v0.8.0 · 8 October 2026
Team, and passwords for your own people. The simple Foundation view now includes Team, and a person can be given a password to sign in with. Also: an instance that does not yet know its own email address now says so, instead of showing one that will not work.
v0.7.0 · 8 October 2026
Your invoice email address, right where you need it. Add & Review and Inbound email now show your restaurant's own email address, with a copy button and (for an owner) a rotate. And the phone scanner gained a live viewfinder, a magnifier, rotate and enhance, and multi-page PDFs.
