Signing in

Sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, or with an email and password — and what to do when a sign-in is turned away.

The sign-in page

Open your restaurant's address, such as yourname.opsavor.app. If your company uses a social sign-in, those buttons come first: Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Facebook. One tap and you are in — there is no OPSAVOR password to remember.

Under them, behind Sign in with email and password, is the form for a password you were given. Open it, type the email and password, and press Sign in.

Prefer a social sign-in when one is offered.

There is no password to lose, and it is the quickest way in. Use it whenever you see the button.

With a social account

OPSAVOR matches the email on your social account to the invitation your owner gave you, so use the same email. A different one is turned away — OPSAVOR will not guess who you are.

If you are turned away

If you see “We could not find your account”, the email you signed in with has not been invited to this restaurant. Ask your owner or manager to add you under Team and try again. The same message appears if your account was removed or switched off.

Two-factor codes and recovery codes

If you turned on two-factor, sign-in asks for a six-digit code from your authenticator app after your password. When you set it up, keep the ten one-time recovery codes somewhere safe. If you lose the app, use one recovery code to get in; each code works once. You can generate a fresh set under Manage → Sign-in & security, after entering a current code. The old codes stop working at once. If you have lost both the app and the codes, ask the owner to reset two-factor for you under Team.

An owner can require two-factor for owners and admins under Manage → Sign-in & security. People who manage others must then set up an authenticator app or a passkey before they can change people or permissions; the rest of the app stays available, so nobody is locked out while they set it up. Team says who still needs it.

Passkeys and security keys

Open Manage → Sign-in & security to add a passkey. It lives on your phone or computer (unlocked with your fingerprint, face or PIN), or on a hardware security key. On the sign-in page, press Sign in with a passkey or security key instead of typing a password or code.

A passkey only works on your business's address, so a look-alike sign-in page cannot use it. If your owner requires passkeys, a password or a code is not enough on its own, and anyone without a passkey is asked to add one at their next sign-in. If you lose the device, sign in another way or ask the owner to remove that passkey.

Forgot your password?

Ask the owner of your account to set a new one for you under Team. If you are the owner, contact OPSAVOR support. If you sign in with a social account, you have no OPSAVOR password to forget.
